What is on the page
The view is from inside a glasshouse, looking down the length of it to an open door and a garden path beyond. A pitched glass roof frames the top of the page. Hanging baskets of ivy and fern drop from the rafters, staging on both sides carries orchids, seedling trays, potted herbs and patterned-leaf plants, and large foliage plants crowd the tiled floor in the foreground. The most detailed page here, with dozens of small leaves — but they are all the same job repeated, which makes it unusually relaxing rather than difficult. Vary your greens by depth rather than by plant: cooler and darker at the back, warmer and lighter at the front, and the glasshouse gains distance. The orchids and the tiled floor are where a second colour earns its place.
